A 300-foot stretch of an elevated railroad trestle caught fire Thursday evening, sending a dramatic wall of thick, black smoke thousands of feet into the air and disrupting rail traffic through the state capital. The blaze forced Amtrak to halt a westbound train from Reno to Sacramento, said George Elsmore.
